We need to create enhanced incentives that not only motivate businesses to thrive in West Hollywood, but also engage other businesses within the city so that everyone can grow together. Incentives should be win-win-win scenarios and ultimately will create a thriving micro-economy within West Hollywood. For almost a decade, we have been seeing empty storefronts, witnessing long-term businesses close, and watching industries choose areas outside of West Hollywood to thrive. It's time to pivot!

I'm currently a business owner and have been noticing a focus on only a subset of businesses. We must begin to think about the bigger picture and how businesses can help one another.
