We need a stronger public safety program focused on enhanced technology with a true plan to implement, accurate reporting on crime statistics, tighter controls within the Sheriff's Department, and enhanced coordination between the multiple public safety programs. I'm growing weary of reading countless headlines about people being held at gunpoint, attacked on the streets, shootings, and mob fights in the streets.

I have been working with our city staff and making suggestions directly to the Public Safety Commission for the past five years with some suggestions being implemented. However, we need an end-to-end review, where we can truly identify strengths and areas for improvement.
